At home with Florence Belzile
Small space, big ideas
A few square metres were all Florence needed to turn a rarely used balcony into a true extension of her condo. Comfortable, inviting and designed for everyday living, the space now gives her exactly what she was looking for: the feeling of getting away without ever leaving home.
Everyday life, outdoors
Morning coffee in the sun, a few emails outside, a moment to unwind or drinks for two at sunset: Florence wanted a balcony that would truly become part of her everyday life. Today, it’s one of her favourite spots in the condo—a whole new room, with just enough of a feeling of being somewhere else.
« I wanted to feel like I was on vacation at home. »
— Florence Belzile
The right balance
On a small balcony, every choice matters. Florence opted for comfortable furniture suited to the way she wanted to use the space, starting with the Julio three-seater sofa. Now her go-to spot, it’s just as perfect for stretching out and unwinding as it is for settling in with her laptop to get some work done.
Just steps away, the fire pit completes the setting, adding warmth that makes the balcony inviting from morning through sunset
« Morning is my favourite time out here. The sun starts to come up, everything is quiet, I can hear the birds and I have my coffee. That’s when I think to myself, it was really worth creating this space. »
— Florence Belzile
